Yellow Fields
Picture shot summer 2 years back at a place near a swedish town, Motala. Motala is appr 250 km south-west from Stockholm, Sweden.

Took the car to see the early summer signs on the beautiful large fields.

The fields were covered with the beautiful yellow rapeseed which gave a great contrast to the blue sky and the green trees.

Wanted to share this picture now when we are in the winter period with bad weather and mostly dark days too.

Here is an explanation of this plant:
Rapeseed (Brassica napus), also known as Rape, Oilseed Rape, Rapa, Rapaseed and (one particular cultivar) Canola, is a bright yellow flowering member (related to mustard) of the family Brassicaceae. The name is derived through Old English from a term for turnip, rapum (see Brassica napobrassica, which may be considered a cultivar of Brassica napus). Some botanists include the closely related Brassica campestris within B. napus.
