Stephen, I didn't crop or add the grain in postprocessing. Maybe the reason for it is the weather.

I have a weakness for photos featuring umbrellas. This is no exception and you have used the pastel colours wonderfully too. The grain adds to the mood although I can't tell whether you have added it in post-processing or whether the image is a crop. But who cares - it works very well.
