Fly Away
I hunted all over for the right umbrella and though this is not what I had in my mind - it was the closest in size. Well, then I discovered the circumference of the handle was not to our froggies' liking so the shoot didn't last long. This was my favorite of them. I used a 12x12 scrapbook cloud paper ($ .59) and rotated my canvas to give the look of wind and cloned out the string that was on the top of the umbrella. This was actually a Christmas ornament I found on eBay and it is now retired to our tree.

wonderful, so witty! so I am not sure I understand how you did it! is the frog alive now?
Erin K. Osten  Oh yes, our froggies are our pets which is why the shoot didn't last long - it wasn't their favorite so had to call it quits. Thank you for asking and for the kind words. Take care ~ Erin

Erin K. Osten  Thank you for your comments. I love our little froggies. This was certainly one of my most challenging shoots and not in keeping with my "mind's eye". Nonetheless, sometimes that is okay. Take care ~ E

no point to shoot for a long time :) :)
this is a true masterpiece.love the colors, the sharpness
of the frogs eyes...
Erin K. Osten  Thanks you brought a smile to my face this morning. Very kind comments - I would love to tweak a few things technically but it is what it is since the frogs really did not love doing this one. Oh well, onto other ideas. Thanks again, you truly made me smile. Too nice!

Kool shot. My hat is off to you.
Erin K. Osten  Thank you! Kind of you to write, now put your hat back on - it's cold outside!
Jerry Berry  Thanks for the reminder but I have a full head of hair and I am sure it is probably warmer here in California than where you hang your hat. At least at the moment. We are in for a change I have heard.
Again, a great image.
Erin K. Osten  LOL - I don't know I am just up the way in Portland area and just sent my mom on a plane to California (wine country area) and she said it is pretty darn cold down there. But you are right - hair does help :-) Take care neighbor.

Great, very original!
How long were you allowed to do the shoot with mr. frog?
Erin K. Osten  The frogs are my boys pets - so I technically had unlimited time. Unfortunately, it was very clear they didn't like this shoot and I didn't want to stress them out so it was probably 5 minutes (max) what is so funny is the time it took to find that umbrella and it still wasn't exactly what I had in mind but the size (what I thought I wanted) was technically good. The handle circumference really bothered them - just not enough there for them to feel comfortable. Oh well, another idea will come :-)
