1. Basics

1.1 Introduction

Welcome to your new personal photo homepage! With this homepage you can upload an unlimited number of photos and order them into galleries as well as making your own completely customized pages! The homepage includes two types of pages, standardized and completely customized. The standard pages are the gallery, journal, and contact pages. When you are logged in you can access the "Control panel" in the "Manage"-menu to change settings and customize your homepage. Your homepage will not be shown to anyone but you until you publish it in the control panel, see 8.2.

1.2 Supported web browsers

We strongly recommend using firefox, it's the only browser which follows standards, to manage your site. You can download it here: http://mozilla.com/firefox. Your site can be viewed your site in any browser, but editing works best and is only supported in Firefox.

1.3 Logging in / Logging out

To manage your homepage you need to log in. There is a log in and log out link at the bottom of the page. You can also log in and out at http://1x.com, you will be logged in at both places at the same time.

2. Photos

2.1 Uploading photos

To upload a new photo click the "Manage"-menu and choose photo directory. The file must be in jpg format and smaller than 10 megapixels. Click "Browse" and browse for a photo on your hard drive. As soon as you have clicked ok, the file will start uploading. You can click browse again to start uploading another photo, while the first photo is still uploading in the background. As soon a photo is finished uploading, you can enter information about it. Click on "Photo title" and "Photo description" to edit information about the photo. Tick the button "Publically visible" to make it visible in your galleries. You can show the photo in journals even if it's not publically visible. Click "Save" when you are done. The photo will immediately appear below the upload section in the "Uploaded photos"-section. To edit information about the photo or show/hide it or delete it, just click on it.

2.2 Edit information, show/hide or delete uploaded photos

Click "delete" next to a gallery to remove it. To add and remove photos in galleries, see the next paragraph.
