The photomation in this is awful, but I'm looking forward to going to see this exhibit.

Thanks for the link Clyde, I listened to the interview, I wish I could go to this exhibition and visit the west coast once more !

It should be quite interesting, they say those photos are "of a time that's gone", and probably very different from what we think of when someone prononces his name.

I have never seen those  photos, only his landscapes I am a big fan of them !

I hope there will be a real good website about the exhibition.

Don't forget to write a feedback in the forum !

Oh easy, considering I don't find his landscapes at all appealing.

However, I now realise I have committed landscape heresy by declaring my opinions and wait for the inevitable fallout...

I saw one or two from this series about 4 years ago at The Huntington in an exhibit by various photographers focusing on this period in LA and specifically on the entertainment business. They were very nice if I remember but not particularly outstanding. I think they were from "behind the scenes" of a movie studio. Props laying about and such.

Here's another video about the exhibit. Apparently the prints are being made for this exhibit and will be for sale. Obviously not printed by Adams.

That's what I think of the ones they showed in the little movie (BTW thanks for this second link) but  anyway, I'd like to see those prints ! However, we can rather regard them as testimonies.

Apart from this, when I think of all my works of art I trew into the dustbin, sure they would have helped paying  our taxes  :-)))))))
