camera/bag case
Posted 2 years ago
i ride a BMW G650gs motorcycle and it is my only transportation. i need a protective bag or hard case which will protect my gear (D700, 50mm f1.4D, 85mm f1.8D, 80-200mm f2.8 and a light meter (not purchased light meter yet). what camera case will protect my gear from jostling around in off road conditions and beable to handle being strapped to the back of a moto?

I have used these http://www.pelishop.com/peli-cases.html?gclid=CJun8O7AnqACFY8-3godq3Mm0Q straped on to my 1942 Norton. A bit hard to strap on, but very ridgid. And they come in nearly every shape and sizes...

Yes, pelicases are best of best, and very strong. You can put underwater and pass with you car over it , never breack :)

Hello Warren,

The 650 carries me long time and I had a lot of fun with this small bike. But since 3 years I have a far more bigger brutal two stroke 1200 cm³.

As for the camera bag I have tried so many and got hang on at the end with this one: http://products.lowepro.com/product/Vertex-200-AW,2073,16.htm

It has a rain cover and fits very nice on the back. OK it is not cheap but for my cameras the best choice even for normal travels.
