I'd like to get recommendations for some solid software (paid or free) that runs under Windows XP and is capable of creating an audio slideshow. I have a number of JPGs sized to 1024x768 px and would like to create audio slideshows that can be played on computers, preferably both on Windows computers and Macs. I already have adequate software to edit the audio. What I lack is good software to assemble the JPGs into a slideshow.

I've tried Microsoft's Photo Story 3 -- I have not been able to prevent it from trimming quite a bit off the edges of my images. Photo Stage produces very pixellated images that dither unacceptably. So recommendations for other software will be welcome.

Photodex ProShow Gold!

Proshow as suggested. many examples on the Photodex website for viewing. Also look at PicturestoExe at wnsoft.com which does not have all the bits and pieces of Proshow but very capable. Google Barry Beckham who is a master of both but prefers PicturestoExe since he finds the animation smoother, if that's important to you.

FotoMagico is very good although I have only played with it a little.
