Two questions about the site

Greetings,
I have two simple questions that I am sure someone will have the answers.

In the Critique a member asked about the category descriptions. I know they were once here, but I simply could not find them anywhere? I clicked here there, and everywhere, but I have not been successful in locating the page. Can someone please point me to that part of the site, so this individual may read them?

The second question is even easier. When I went to post the first question I could not see anywhere to post the question that made sense logically. There was I believe a support link at the forum, but I cannot find that either. Where would someone post a question for support such as this?

It is starting to feel a little Kafkaesque. :))))))

Thanks
Phyllis

Hi Phyllis,

1) I'm pretty sure the category descriptions were part of the (very out of date) FAQ on the about page. The FAQ is now gone and that page now just has info about the crew.

2) The "site related" forum disappeared a while ago. Crew got rid of it to remove the never ending "the screening process sucks" threads.

Cheers,
Heath

Hi Heath,
Okay, well maybe it is still somewhere in the FAQ. Now the FAQ is clear but quite long and I am not going to search for the categories in there again. Maybe someone else will know.

Site related..okay? I thought it said support...but I guess not.

Anyhow I guess questions can always be posted in an inappropriate place but it did seem a little odd to do that. Lets see what others suggest.
As for the categories I would love to see them come back.

Thanks much..

Hi Phyllis

In the FAQ section on screening this is the info about the categories, not much help when looking for descriptions. But as I read it it is of no importance for the screening process getting a 'wrong' category

"The only moment where we really pay attention to which category the image belongs to is right before publication. We mostly try to make sure that nudes are in "fine art nude", that no zoo or pets images are in "nature" and that photomontages are in "creative edit", but a wrong category is never a reason for rejection.

While screening, we are looking for originality, message, mood, aesthetics and technical quality. The picture should stand out in some way, affect and tell something to the viewer. We won't accept anything that isn't in line with our artistic vision. For more detailed information about the upload criteria, check the upload page in "Account"."

Greetings

Thank you Willem. I thought if I just looked longer I would find it.
It appears like it was removed.
I will let the member know.
:)
My best.
