Diaphragm blocked
Posted 2 years ago
Got an issue with my Sigma zoom after my camera felt down. The diaphragm is now blocked at its minimal aperture (f22). Of course I removed the lens and tried the camera with another lens which is OK and works fine. But the small lever that closes the diaph is blocked (and so is the diaph itself) and there seems no way to get it back to its normal position.

It is a Sigma with Nikon mount. Anyone has ever experienced such issue ?

Oh, it's a camera issue - I thought it was going to be a contracptive one...

Oh i am sorry to hear that Jacques! I never had such things. Just send the lens to Sigma and let it repair!

Take good care!

I went to a photo shop and indeed they said me it has to be serviced. I bought the lens in Germany, not sure how warranty can apply here in the US. I have to check this out. Too bad...

So in the meanwhile I have an additional question: is there some landscape photographer interested in acquiring a throughout constant f22 wide angle zoom ? :))
