Printing really BIG!
Posted 2 years ago
I've got a project ...
Making the background for a companys window display. They are making fishing nets, and of course, they want a underwater photo as background for the display. The back wall is the widest at 3.2 meters. I will print on Epson 9900. It will be mounted on it's own panels, so it can be moved.
My problem is choosing the right paper for it.
There is so much experience on 1x. Any of you who have done anything like this?

I've searched the web, and talked to some shops and importers, but it seems like things like this is mostly done with print films. I want paper that can be used as any wallpaper (planning to spray varnish it before mounting) . I have made some direct mounting with canvas, but it will be too expensive for this project. Any help will be appreciated very much!

I know a company in Sweden which does this, but probably that won't help you very much... =P

It can also be printed on "vinyl" (with glue) and mounted on panels... only, I don't know where for your country.

Hello Lars!
Here are some examples of your own "phototapestry!"
Take a google search (in norwegiean...:-))) with: Lag din egen fototapet!
I suppose you are looking for Norwegian companys, and there are many out there that can make
vinyl wallpaper, or other things!
The nice part is that it can be done big, it doesnt "cost your shirt", and it is easy to "glue "on
whatever you want...Maybe a good idea for you?
Give a feedback if you try it, i would live to try it myself too, just to see how it could function
on big walls... :-))

That is probably what I'm looking for. But not the very thin film because it needs to be mounted on metal or other very smooth surfaces.

I'm only looking for the material, not someone to print it. The printer is in house.
