Au bon pain is an - I believe - American franchise in the style of Starbucks. They have quite some outlets in Bangkok. One of them very near to my (former) home. So I used to go there quite often for breakfast or an expresso. The one thing that always caught my eye was a large b&w photo of a young lad running home with a baguette under his arm and a smile of delight on his face. The setting seemed to be Paris, more than half a century ago. The photo (poster) made mention of the photographer... a certain Willy Ronis. I had never heard of him, nor did I know how important he was until I heard of his death recently.
