I hate photography.

OK, I don't. I started taking photos because I've read in Harvard Business Manager that once you've made a career in your profession after years of hard work, you need something else to get satisfaction and fulfill your need for creativity. To be honest, I haven't made such a big career, but I wanted to show my father that I can exceed him in photography: probably you've already heard the saying that every artist's basic motivation is 'Look Mom!'. My father used to take a lot of photos when I was a child, he even showed me how to develop photos in the darkroom. Actually, our bathroom was full of trays and the unmistakeable smell of developers. So I hit on photography a few years ago and... well, I've spent more time and money than normal.

I use Canon bodies (7D, 400D) and a wide variety of lenses (Sigma 10-20 f 4-5.6, Sigma 18-50 f2.8, Canon 50 f1.8, Canon 24-105 f4, Canon 100 f2.8, Canon 70-200 f2.8), I even have a Canon 300 analogue camera and my fridge is packed full with films (I love Kodak T-Max, Ilford XP2 and Kodak Portra). But my biggest love is a Mamiya RB67 these days. And my father gave me his Rolleicord made in 1936 which is still working. :) So, I shoot digital, leica, roll (6×7, 6×6), whenever I have time to shoot.
