I am not a professional photographer. By trade, Im actually a web developer. Photography is a relatively new method of creative expression for me, and one that I am looking to improve upon in all ways possible. 1X has struck me from the very beginning as a mature, creative place of wonderful photography and kind, honest people sharing what they create.

When I first starting to get involved in photography as a creative effort, I began obsessing over hardware and accessories. Ive since realized that if you know what youre doing, and you have the eye, it really doesnt matter all that much that I dont have that four thousand dollar lens. I own a Nikon D40 with two kit lenses and their 50mm f/1.8. That, and an original lensbaby that I find more hilarious to use than effective.

And Im not saying that I know what Im doing or have the eye. I think I do, a little bit, on both fronts. But thats what Im working on, and thats what Im doing here... to see what other folks are sharing and doing well with, and to listen to their comments on what Ive got to share.
