About me
I'm a scientist (molecular biology, forensics, evolution, birds) who in recent 16 years has lived with family of 4 near Washington, DC, except for a couple of years in Sarajevo, Bosnia. I grew up around the world (Philippines, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan) and in the US have lived in the mid-West, the Pacific Northwest, Louisiana and the mid-Atlantic. I am a profound nature lover, and my photo interests center on nature and travel, plus some portraits. I've been making photos ever since my early teens, sometimes with serious energy and intent, but with some periods reduced by other pulls to snapshotography. I've been amazed on every continent. In my role as a forensic scientist working on persons missing as a result of disaster or human rights violations, I've seen great pain.
