About me
I am mostly a dark room photographer, using medium format film and a Hasselblad or a Mamiya. I spent too many years at university to abandon my photographic roots, so I persist in the fashion to which I was taught: classical, medium format work. I tend to use ambient lighting, as it exists.

I am afraid people are now SO ACCUSTOMED to digital imagery, photo shopping and digital alteration, there is little understanding of what traditonal gelatin silver work is. This is it!

I adore viusal honesty, so that is what I bring. Mostly, herein lies BLACK AND WHITE, medium format, low light, gelatin silver, dark room work, the kind thats been around for ages, and that will continue to endure for its sheer poetic beauty.

MY prints on fiber paper will still be here in 100 years. Think of that: 100 years! That turns me on! It is, really, what I live for; my work defines me. Within each image rests something of my soul.

Photography freezes fleeting moments of life, capturing time; poetic and profound. I hope my images share these qualities.
