I became a Padi certified open water diver in May 2007 and started underwater photography in June 2007 with a Canon G7. In September 2007, I upgraded to a Nikon D80.

I attended an underwater photography workshop in Bali, August 2007 conducted by Michael Aw & Mathieu Meur and in November 2007 I took part in Ocean Odyssey 2007 photo shoot out, Manado & Lembeh Straits, organized by Asian Diver Magazine.

In that event, my photo of a soft coral crab grabbed 1st place in Best Shot category & also 2nd place in Macro category.
