I am not the same person I was yesterday.

But these facts are indisputable: I was born and raised in Rochester, NY (home of Kodak), I graduated summa cum laude from St. John Fisher College with dual B.A. degrees in Communications / Journalism and English (with a concentration in creative writing), I am the middle child wedged between two brothers, and my favorite sandwich of all time remains a B.L.T.

I started taking pictures when I was a kid - nothing fancy, but I was organized. I created albums. I made extra prints, and sent them to family members. In 8th grade, I nearly single-handedly assembled the yearbook. In high school and college, I took pictures for the school newspaper.

I worked in sales as an Account Executive at various companies after college. It was lucrative. It was insanity. Six weeks before my baby girl's due date, I left my job. That was in April of 2009. As good fortune would have it, I haven't returned.

To capture the magic of my daughter's new life unfolding in front of my eyes - those precious moments filled with pride and sheer awe, I learned how to take better pictures. I'm still learning. I hope I never stop learning.
