Born in Rome in 1976, son of an art collector.

In 2002 he started to study photography and joined Rome Tor Vergata University in "History, science and techniques of music and arts" Degree Course, joining the University Photography lab.

During the studies, he became Alberto Manodori Sagredos assistent, "History and technic of Photography" Professor.

In 2005 he travelled in Eastern Europe and started his own photo project called "Accross the East".

In 2006 he graduated with the best grade at University with the thesis: "Photography in digital era as new art, an example: Martino Pisanello".

In October 2006 he becomes a member of the Photographic Group of Genzano di Roma and in 2007 he becomes the vicepresident.

Between 2006 and 2009 his photos were published in many different italian magazines like: TUTTO DIGITALE, PHOTOGRAFARE IN DIGITALE, DIGITAL CAMERA MAGAZINE and FOTOCULT.

Since 2008 he has been regularly working for the newspaper CITTA FUTURA.

Winner of numerous photocontests, both national and internationals, Franco Buttiglieri lives and works in Genzano di Roma.
