About me
I am a graduate student in counseling psychology at Pacifica graduate institute in Santa Barbara, CA.
I am certain that Art and Poetry can be used to alleviate or contain feelings of trauma, fear, or anxiety and also to repair, restore and heal. In that vein, I see artists, photographers and poets as part of a community of healers of a wounded society and restorers of a more unified and peaceful world culture. I look for images and words to host on my blog that communicate Beauty, Peace, Wholeness and a greater understanding of world events that call for love and compassion. I have found the photographers at 1x.com to be a wonderful resource for this kind of restorative imagery and I have been fortunate to make a few friends here.

Someday, after mastering the winds, the waves, the tides and gravity, we shall harness for God the energies of love, and then, for a second time in the history of the world, man will have discovered fire.
Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

Our duty, as men and women, is to proceed as if limits to our ability did not exist. We are collaborators in creation.
Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

The most satisfying thing in life is to have been able to give a large part of one's self to others.
Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

"They say the seeds of what we will do are in all of us, but it always seemed to me that in those who make jokes in life the seeds are covered with better soil and with a higher grade of manure."
