About me
From a 6x9 Box Brownie to digital, which I rather like, I have owned and used a few cameras over the years. I worked in photo journalism for many years, both in the field and on the desk. These days I have more time to only photograph what I like, with the pressure being taken off me.

I am a firm believer in that the camera does not make the photographer, borne out by the fact that today's inexpensive (digital) cameras can produce good/great results in the hands of the skilled photographer. The message is in the image, not in the camera.

I am not a fan of images that have been endlessly "worked upon". And I am definitely not a fan of HDR as very few people appear to be able to use it skilfully and instead feel that it is o.k. to (completely) go over the top, thus producing some horrendous results. HDR, subtle, it mostly ain't.

I feel myself at present drawn to "the streets", which at the at the moment are the streets of London. Crap city, but a very photogenic one. And there you have it.
