After living up and down the Rocky Mountains for the past 30+ years, I finally decided that, perhaps, I should shoot images of the beauty I see all around me (duh)!! Having returned to Montana after wandering around Idaho, Colorado, Utah and Wyoming over the past years...It felt like coming home...and I will never leave Montana again (except for photo road trips)!!

Before my early retirement, I was a graphic designer and a calligrapher. I owned my own graphic arts studio, while also running a lovely gallery in a small town in Colorado. But when I returned to Montana, everything changed. Not truly finding joy in the thought of starting all over again, I decided to give up being a business owner and found a position as a general manager for an art gallery in the Flathead Valley. Fast forward five years, my husband and I decide to retire and just enjoy life. Yeah...that got old after a few months!! So then we decided to find a hobby that we could both enjoy together...and that is where the photography came in. Well, after years of practicing and reading and buying and expanding our equipment (that cost more money than I care to think about)...we ARE enjoying our retirement!!

I hope you enjoy some of the images we have taken in our travels. I am the nature/wildlife photographer in our family, while my husband enjoys macros and landscapes. Also, as you will eventually see, Yellowstone National Park is (to us) an extended backyard...and our favorite place to play!!. ~ Diana
