My name is Mark Boyle and I live in Perth, Western Australia.

Photography is a hobby for me these days which I try to fit in between a full-time job and my family. Unfortunately this means I don?t get a lot of time to take pictures.

I used to work as a professional photographer many years ago but never could commit to it as fully as I needed to. Probably because I have always been interested in taking pictures for myself and not for other people.

Why do I take photographs?

I guess it enables me to always see the world around me as though it was for the first time. It is always fresh with new things to see everywhere. I think as we grow older we tend to notice less and less of the world around us, it all becomes familiar and unsurprising. Photography prevents this and lets me see the world as a child does with wide eyes and a sense of wonder.
