Well, I (fairly) recently discovered the joy of digital photography in a big way. I've been snapping your usual family/tourist/look!-a-flower pictures for a while with my Canon Powershot A80. Then I suddenly activated the macro mode and turned the mode dial and a whole new world appeared before my eyes. Okay, maybe not that dramatic, but I did get a strong urge to get myself some decent gear.

Fast forward to April 2006 and my brother buying a Konica Minolta Dynax 5D. Oh, the jealousy, the envy! By May I could not take it anymore and finally bought the Nikon D70s kit with the 18-70mm lens. Ahh..., joy!
