I am an amateur photographer, based primarily in Barcelona, Venezuela. My interest in photography started as a random event around 12 years ago, when I ran into a Basic Guide to Photography Book by John Hedgecoe. At this point I borrowed my father's 30-year-old 35 mm Nikomat and started shooting in film. Since then I have tried to maintain my interest in an active way. This interest experienced a rebirth with digital photography and the internet 6 years ago. I currently shoot exclusively in digital format. Not having formal education on photography, the web has been my main source for learning new techniques and methods, for defining and refining a workflow that I hope will help me develop a personal style. I have a limited collection of books about photography as well, that I keep at hand when I need quick technical reference and a little bit of inspiration.
