I've been a keen photographer since an early age, having purchased my first SLR (a Zenit E) well... about 35 years ago now. However, it's only been since the "digital revolution" that my casual interest has developed into a more serious consumption of spare time. I can hardly believe it was only 5 years ago, in 2006, that I purchased my first digital SLR - a Nikon D200.

As I've stated, I'm a serious amateur, not a pro. I'm still learning and couldn't even begin to consider achieving the kind of results some do on here. I look at many other's photographs for inspiration (especially on this site) and I never cease to be amazed by so many other people's works of art. Maybe one day I can be held in the same esteem.
