I am an admitted visual junkie; I can never stop looking--whether or not there is a camera hanging off my shoulder. `Self-taught from the days of Tri-x and my closet darkroom--my photo education has been supplemented in recent years by lighting workshops with McNally and Zack Arias, and continuing education seminars with many others. Used to be a pomous "purist" about shooting only with natural/available light. Those days are loooong gone now, just ask the 5 speedlights in my pelican case. I love controlling the light and blending flash with ambient.

People are my passion, especially people in action. But I will happily make a portrait of any face pointed my way. I can also easily get lost in composing still life shots?like I said, "visual junkie." I live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (US) with my wife and two kids. I have skateboarding to thank for helping me develop my location shooting skills, and for helping me maintain my "sanity." 15 years background in graphic design and art direction. Currently self-employed photographer.
