I have dabbled in photography since I was a boy. Only with the advent of digital photography have I truly become interested in this activity to which I have devoted much time and fruitless effort. That, of course, is because feedback about the process is now immediately available. So I am a beginner again. I am delighted that I can look at an image on my camera back and decide, for better or worse, that I'm going to attempt another shot of the same subject from one step forward or by moving the camera four inches to the left or decrease exposure by two thirds stop etc. I feel that I am meaningfully involved and finally learning.
