Hi, my name is WK Chew and I am from Penang Island, Malaysia.

My philosophy of a photograph is simple, it must captures the moment of life. Since it captures the moment of life, it must have people in it and I particularly like black and white portraits. Textures, shapes and expressions will be magnified without the distraction of colors.

Every moment is unique and it may happens only once and can never be repeated. It also means that I am there in every moment that I capture. Be it candid, street, everyday, indoor, outdoor or studio, I simply love black and white photography.

I also like to take photographs of people together with the environment they are in. I like to show how the people is linked to the surrounding, the works they are doing, the activities they are doing or the situation they are in.

Recently I also picked up some landscapes shooting particularly seascapes or coastal scenes.
