When I was about 8 years old I took some money I found at home and went and bought a camera for, I think, $14. Now, that was in the late 50s so $14 wasnt a lot, but it wasnt cheap either. At least my mother didnt think so when she found out. And took the camera back.

Years later, in college, a classmate introduced me to the darkroom and the joys of making photographs. Its a joy that still possesses me 40 years later and Im still learning and yearning to make really good photos.

I found this site thanks to Ken Rockwell, and am learning by enjoying the great photos published here.
