I am an amateur photographer - and just love photography in most its forms. A few years back I upgraded from film to digital SLR and that was the push I needed to start on a new journey. I have recently retired and as a result have more time and energy to devote to my passion.

I shoot a broad range of subjects - in fact I probably am interested in shooting most things. I particularly enjoy street photography. I have also been exploring a more abstract impressionist style in the last year or two and it is these images that are still emerging that are pushing me harder than anything else.

I find that I am reading more about the great photographers and am also building my understanding of art and art history.

I have learnt an enormous amount from interacting with other photographers on this site. OE has been a wonderful support and resource for a few years now. The generosity of photographers is quite amazing. I am looking forward to an ongoing relationship with the 1x.com community.
